Caribbean tourism continued to grow at record pace pre hurricanes, with data from the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) showing that the region has welcomed 16.6 million visitors for the first six months of the year. The figure is 800,000 more than for the same period in 2016, a growth rate of 5.22 per cent. And Nevis in particular continues to strengthen in this sector.

For the 2017-2018 season, Nevis is forecasted to receive a total of 100 cruise ship calls with more than 20,575 cruise passengers, which is a record for the island. It is an increase of 72% cruise ship calls and a 119% increase in the number of passengers. Nevis now, for the first time, has a weekly cruise call through the entire year.
Nevis is now more connected than ever. If you’re flying from North America, fly to San Juan, Puerto Rico and connect with any airline that services Nevis. Seaborne is connected with Jetblue so visitors from the US are able to have their luggage checked straight to Nevis. Travellers from North America or the UK can choose to fly to St Kitts and then connect to Nevis (via ferry). Another option is to fly to Antigua and fly with Tradewind Aviation to Nevis. There are also flights from St. Maarten and the US Virgin Islands.
